FPD 1_Beta Concept

Finally, we have come to our beta Concept presentation! (ermm... No, we still got thesis need to submit). So, after the domain 4 & domain 5, we listed out all the points/conclusions. We also look back to our domain 1 & domain 2, we gathered all the important information, and we have come out our beta concept, which is a kaya toast bar! It is applied with all the concepts and fit in the research gap as well.

Be confident

The day before our beta concept presentation, we are lucky and have the chance to help seniors and be their audience for their last presentation. After looking at the senior's presentation, we have learnt so much (e.g. the importance of presenting in a professional way and be confidence). We have learnt that we should practice before each presentation to make the presentation more professional. Senior's presentation was very impressing. Besides, the way they bring the audience to their product.

Hence, we utilised the point (how to convince people to use our concept) when making the presentation slide. So, at first, we stand on the perspective of "Boss", what does a "boss" need to know/ want to know from the beta concept before they buying the concept. However, there are still some points we have missed out such as the shelf life of the product. In terms of the technical issues such as the shelf life of the product, we are required to improve this part.

From all the domain presentation including this beta concept presentation, I have concluded that it's important to think from all the other perspective also, the presentation skill is not only about English speaking (which I need to improve on), it's also about the skill that we convince people to "trust" us and to make them understand our justification. The way we present must be in a good/smooth flow to bring the audience into our 'story', we must be confident with our own 'story'. I agreed with Dr Chong, presentation is like storytelling, thus, we need to present our result & discussion clearly to the audience. It is because their understanding will depend on how we present (including body language, verbal, slide, etc...).
